Canoli Recipe

Filling

  • 12 ounces fresh ricotta
  • 7 ½ ounces Heavy Cream
  • 5 ounces sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ounce chocolate chips
  • 2 ounces orange candy peel

 Crust

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour\1 ¼ ounce butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 10 tablespoons white wine/masala wine
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Filling

Method

Mix ricotta, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Mix heavy cream separately. Fold in the ricotta and the cream mixture for 2 minutes.

Crust

Method

Mix ingredients together, if the mixture is still too hard, add some more wine. Use a pasta machine or a rolling pin till the mixture is very thin. Cut and separate the mixture and using a canoli mould, flash fry for about 2 minutes. Add ricotta mixture and serve.
